Janay E. McLemore

Co-Founder

Janay Sanchez-McLemore is a Pueblo born native and graduate from CSU-Pueblo. Janay and other co-founders founded The Lioness Project when they were discussing the condition of their city and decided that Pueblo was a beautiful diverse city worth standing up for. They launched their women's group June of 2021 and have contributed to countless organizations within Pueblo. Janay sits on The Garcia Futures Board, The Place Committee, and volunteers with MYLIFE, and is the current 2025 "Mrs. Colorado" Title Holder for the Miss Pueblo County Scholarship Pageant. Janay loves her 4 puppies, family, and most of all Pueblo!

Laurie M. Sanchez

Co-Founder

Laurie was born and raised in Pueblo, CO. She has been married for 37 years and has raised her family here. Laurie has sat on numerouse committees and has volunteered with many local organizations over the years. She is a co-founder of The Lioness Project here in Pueblo, and believes that women have the opportunity to grow and teach others. Aside from work and volunteering she has her own business baking specialy cookies. Known as "The Biscochito Lady" she makes one mean Bischochito as well as super walnut chocolate chip cookies.  Laurie loves spending time cheering on her grandchildren, spending time with family, and taking short trips with her husband.

Linda A. Quintana

Co-Founder

Linda is a Pueblo Native who supports her city through her dedication to the workforce and volunteering. Linda has been in the medical administration field for over 30 years. She has worked at Parkview Hospital, Hospice, and other local care facilities. She currently is retired and is a home health care provider for her parents. Linda has sat on numerous committees, volunteered throughout Pueblo, and has given back to many organizations. She is a co-founder of The Lioness Project and loves the vision and mission of helping women within our city. Linda loves going to the movies, shopping, and attending her local church.

Macy D. Archuletta

Co-Founder 

Macy is a Pueblo born native who has a love for her city and for empowering those around her. Macy has worked in the industries where most choose to run from. Macy has a background in corrections, security, and as a CNA. Macy loves action and can be found in a job that has limitless possibilities. Macy loves training, and empowering all to be the best that they can possibly be. She is a co-founder of The Lioness Project and has been a valuable asset. Macy loves working out, having fun with her children, and being with her family.
